Privacy Policy
The short version
We run no analytics. We set no cookies. We have no ad network, no tracking pixels, and no accounts to sign up for. The only personal information we hold is whatever you choose to put in an email to us. We have never sold or shared it, and we do not intend to.
Who we are
Top Young Entrepreneurs is an independent editorial publication at topyoungentrepreneurs.com. We profile young founders and operators and publish reference guides on business formation and financing.
This policy covers this website. It does not cover other sites we link to, which have their own policies.
The best way to reach us about anything on this page is contact@topyoungentrepreneurs.com.
What we collect
As of September 2, 2026, this site collects no personal information automatically. There is no analytics script, no advertising tag, no tracking pixel, no social embed, and no account system. Nothing you do while reading is recorded by us.
The one way we come to hold personal information is if you send it to us, by email or through a form. The sections below describe each channel, including two that are not switched on yet. We would rather tell you now how they will work than surprise you later.
Email you send us
If you email us, we receive and keep your message, your email address, and anything else you chose to include. We use it to reply to you and to follow up on what you wrote about. Editorial correspondence, such as a correction request or a nomination, may be kept as part of our record of how a story was reported.
We do not add you to any list because you emailed us.
Forms on this site
Status: not currently live. Our nomination and contact pages use an email link, not a form.
If we enable forms, they will be handled by a third-party form provider that receives the submission and forwards it to us by email. In that case the provider processes the information you type in, plus technical data such as your IP address, under its own privacy policy, and we will name the provider here before turning it on.
We will only ask for what a submission needs. A founder nomination, for example, needs the nominee, something we can use to verify them, and a way to reach you with a question.
The newsletter
Status: not currently live. There is no list, and no addresses have been collected.
If we launch one, subscribing will be something you actively opt into, and the email address you give us will be used to send that newsletter and nothing else. Every issue will carry an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing will remove you from the list rather than merely muting you. We will name the email provider here before the first send.
We will not sell, rent, or trade the list. We will not use it to email you about anything you didn't sign up for.
Analytics
Status: not currently live. We run no analytics of any kind.
If we add analytics, we will say so here first, and we will choose a tool that measures traffic in aggregate rather than one that builds profiles of individual readers or feeds an advertising network. If we ever adopt something that requires consent under the law that applies to you, we will ask for that consent rather than assume it.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser's local storage. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Our host may set technical cookies as part of serving the page. Those are outside our control and are described in the hosting section below.
Hosting and third parties
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub's infrastructure processes technical information needed to deliver a page to you, which can include your IP address and request logs. We do not have access to those logs and cannot look you up in them. GitHub's handling is described in GitHub's Privacy Statement.
Web fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser requests the font files from Google and Google's servers see that request. Everything else the site loads, including every image, is served from this domain.
If we've written about you
We publish profiles of real, named people. Those profiles are journalism, and the information in them is drawn from public sources, from what a subject told us, or from our own reporting.
If you are the subject of something we've published and you want to respond to it, correct it, or ask us to take it down, that process is set out in our Terms of Use, under corrections and right of reply. You do not need to invoke a law to ask, and we would rather hear from you directly than not.
How long we keep things
We keep email correspondence for as long as it is useful to the work it relates to, and we delete it when you ask us to. Editorial records behind a published story are kept while that story stays published, since being able to show how we sourced something is part of standing behind it.
Your choices and rights
Because we hold so little, most of this is simple. You can ask us what we have about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@topyoungentrepreneurs.com and we will act on it, normally well inside 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have specific statutory rights, such as those under California or European privacy law. We do not sell personal information as those laws use the term, and we have no financial incentive program to disclose. If a right applies to you that isn't listed above, ask and we will honor it rather than argue about whether we are technically in scope.
Children
This site is written for an adult, professional audience. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes in substance, we update the review date at the top. The most likely reason for a change is one of the not-yet-live items above going live, and if that happens the corresponding section will be rewritten to describe what actually runs.
