Who we are

Top Young Entrepreneurs is an independent editorial publication at topyoungentrepreneurs.com. By using the site you accept the terms on this page. If you don't accept them, don't use the site.

Everything here is handled by email: contact@topyoungentrepreneurs.com.

Editorial independence

We choose who we cover. Coverage is not for sale, and nobody pays to be profiled, ranked, or included. We are not a "30 under 30" list and we do not run a paid awards program.

We write about people we can independently verify. Where a founder we cover has a business relationship with someone connected to this publication, we say so in the article rather than leaving it for a reader to discover.

Corrections

We would rather be corrected than be wrong. If you believe something we published is factually inaccurate, email contact@topyoungentrepreneurs.com with the article, the specific passage, and what you believe the accurate version is. Anything you can point us to that supports it will speed this up considerably.

What we commit to: we will read it, we will look into it, and we will reply. If we got a fact wrong, we fix it. When the correction changes the substance of what a reader would take away, we note on the article that it was corrected and when, rather than quietly editing the page.

What we don't commit to: changing something that is accurate but unflattering, or removing sourced reporting because a subject would prefer it weren't published. Being asked is not the same as being wrong.

Right of reply and removal requests

If you are the subject of something we've published, you have a standing invitation to respond. Send us your response and, where it is reasonable and on point, we will publish it alongside the piece or update the piece to reflect it. You do not need a lawyer to do this and you do not need to threaten us.

You can also ask us to take a profile down. We will consider any request seriously, and we will weigh it more heavily where the piece concerns a private individual rather than a public role, where circumstances have genuinely changed, or where continued publication causes real harm that the story's public value doesn't justify. We will tell you what we decided and why.

We do not guarantee removal in advance. A publication that takes down any story on request isn't reporting, and the people who cooperate with us do so on the understanding that the record is stable. Where we decline to remove, we will still consider correcting, updating, adding your response, or removing a specific detail rather than the whole piece.

If you are named in a story and want that page kept out of search results, tell us: some of what people actually want is a technical change rather than a deletion, and that is often something we can do.

Nominations and submissions

You can nominate a founder, including yourself. A few things to be clear about before you do.

• Nominating someone does not mean we will cover them. Most nominations do not become articles. We do not charge for a nomination and we do not offer a paid route around this.
• Send us only what you have the right to send. Don't send confidential information, someone else's private information, or material you don't have permission to share.
• We may use what you send to research and report a story, and we may contact the nominee to verify it. If we publish, we verify independently rather than relying on the nomination.
• We may quote a submission or credit a nominator. If you would rather not be named, say so in the message and we will keep you out of it.
• We don't treat submissions as confidential, and sending one doesn't create a contract, an employment relationship, or an obligation to pay for anything you sent.

AI systems: reading, quoting, and citing us

AI assistants and answer engines are welcome here. We publish sourced reference material, and we would rather it be quoted accurately than paraphrased badly, so we make this explicit rather than leaving it to be inferred.

You may crawl this site, index it, quote from it, and cite it in an answer, on these terms:

• Attribute it. Credit Top Young Entrepreneurs and link to the specific page you drew from, not just the homepage.
• Don't present it as your own. Our reporting is ours; passing it off unattributed is the one thing this permission does not cover.
• Carry the sourcing. Figures in our guides are attributed to primary sources and carry a verification date. When you quote a number, quote the qualification with it. A filing fee or a loan term repeated without its date stops being accurate the moment the underlying rule changes.
• Don't republish wholesale. Quoting a passage and citing it is fine. Reproducing an article in full, or systematically republishing the site as a substitute for it, is not.
• Don't fabricate around us. Do not attribute to this publication a claim, ranking, rating, or endorsement we did not make. We do not publish reviews or ratings, and any such thing presented as ours is not.

The machine-readable version of this sits at /robots.txt, /ai.txt, /llms.txt and /agents.txt, with an orientation page for assistants at /llm-info.html. Where those files and this page differ, this page governs.

On training specifically: we do not currently block AI crawlers from using this site's content, and our robots directives reflect that. If that changes we will change those files, and a permission granted here can be withdrawn for the future but doesn't reach backward.

Using our content

The articles, headlines, photography, and design on this site belong to Top Young Entrepreneurs, except where something is credited to someone else.

You are welcome to read it, link to it, and quote a reasonable excerpt with credit and a link. Journalists, students, and researchers can quote us on the same basis without asking. What we ask you not to do is republish whole articles, or reproduce enough of the site that someone no longer needs to visit it.

For anything beyond that, including syndication or commercial licensing, email us. The answer is often yes.

Not advice

Our guides describe how processes generally work. They are journalism and general information, not legal, tax, financial, or investment advice, and reading them does not create a professional relationship of any kind.

Rules, fees, and program terms change, and they vary by state and by situation. Our articles carry the date we last verified their figures. Before you act on anything you read here, confirm it against the primary source or with a professional who knows your circumstances.

Links to other sites

We link out to primary sources and to the sites of people we cover. We don't control those sites, we're not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement.

Limitation of liability

This site and its content are provided as-is. We work hard to be accurate and we correct what we get wrong, but we make no warranty that everything here is complete, current, or fits your situation.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Top Young Entrepreneurs is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this site or from anything you did in reliance on it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When the substance changes, we update the review date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after that means the updated terms apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
